Sweet! Now I have a playlist for the zombie apocalypse. I am going to add these to my iTouch immediately and stand by for terror. Cool post. Seems like death metal bands like to sing about zombies…among a few other metal sub genres. Have you seen Zombieland? The one with Woody Harrelson? Great zombie movie!
Let’s not forget Six feet Under!
Ya, Death Metal is pretty big on the zombies, I could have made hours upon hours of a playlist of death metal zombies, but I wanted to do a more diversified list. That’s a killer 6FU song. I love the movie in the video, Planet Terror. I caught that flick in a crappy run down theater, it was the perfect atmosphere for that Grindhouse flick.
I’ve seen Zombieland. Loved that movie, especially the part with Bill Murrey, totally did not see that one coming, lol. Back in the early 00′s me and a couple buddies of mine went a campy horror movie watching spree where we spent about a year watching as many crappy horror movies as possible doing our own Mystery Science Theater 3000 (did you ever get into that show?) thing over them (man I wish we recorded some of those sessions, funny stuff ensued). We even found a movie called Monsturd (yes, a movie about a killer peice of poo) and ended up inviting a bunch of people over to my place to watch it. Turns out it was one of the biggest piece of crap movies I’ve ever seen (pun intended), they use flies to kill the monster. But man were there some funny comments that night.
My all time favorite zombie movie is from the legendary Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson, Dead Alive (or BrainDead outside of America). So funny, so gory (still to this day, probably one of the goriest movies I’ve ever seen), if you’ve never seen it you have to check it out. There’s ninja priests, rat monkeys, zombie rockabillies, the biggest set of tits you will ever see, and the best use of a lawnmower in a movie ever.
