Full Album Stream: Red Forest by If These Trees Could Talk

Are you in a mellow, pensive mood today? Need to settle into a relaxed humor? Well how about some nice calming metal to do the trick. Here’s the stream for Red Forest by post-rock/metal instrumental band If These Trees Could Talk.
This is quite the excellent album. There are hints of many other bands in their sounds but on a whole everything come out sounding unique and fresh. There are the Earthy and blackened tones of Agalloch, the thick atmosphere of Isis, and beautiful landscapes of Alcest and *shels. This album has a heavy cinematic feel to it where the music has a strong way of creating mental pictures to accompany what you are listening to. I enjoyed how the music worked on the level as something that you can focus on and completely lose yourself in as well as being a style that is fitting for playing in the background while doing other things allowing you to zone in and out at will. If you dig on any of the bands I mentioned above or others like Red Sparrowes and Pelican, you should highly enjoy this release. If not, check it out anyway, it’s some cool stuff. So, turn on your stereo (or headphones if you are at work), hit play, and get lost in their daydream.
You can purchase the album from their Bandcamp page as well as Itunes, Amazon, and various other digital distributors. If you’re like me and a physical copy is more up your alley you can grab that from the band’s web store here. And if you live or are staying in Europe, the band is doing a quick turn of the northern parts during April. You can see the dates on the tour poster below. Enjoy! Peace Love and Metal!!
