Video of the Week – Let This River Flow

Normally I exercise to songs of sheer brutality.  It’s motivating to have someone growl in my ear in the company of headbanging riffs.  Today, however, I listened to the melodic metal sounds of Soilwork.  Most of their music is pretty heavy, but I wouldn’t consider it brutal.  Listening to The Panic Broadcast took my mind to faraway places and made my mandatory (not so) fun run a little less enduring.  In particular, I enjoyed running to this week’s video of the week Let This River Flow.  Check out this high-production live footage.

In other news,  Soilwork’s forthcoming album, The Living Infinite, is in writing process, but no release date was available from their website; just the year 2012.  For those of you that like to take cruises.  Soilwork has been confirmed for this year’s Barge to Hell in December of 2012.  That actually sounds like a cruise I would like to sail on.  Have a great weekend.

  1. Soilwork is great music for exercise, and for playing fast-paced games.. or just to release some energy. I haven’t listened much to their newer albums, but I love their early work!

Especially “A predator’s portrait” and “Natural born chaos” (produced by Devin Townsend, btw)
