Video of the Week – In Memoriam
Evile has released another new video in the last couple weeks for their song In Memoriam from their album Five Serpent’s Teeth. This time, the Thrashers tone things down a bit with a somber metal song, powerful to say the least. For those of us living in or near London, Evile will be playing a FREE show on 3rd July in London at The Old Blue Last in Shoreditch. There is more information at this link.
Other than that, I am keeping it short this week’s video. If you can’t catch Evile at the free show, you can catch them on a headlining tour in October throughout the UK. Have a great weekend.

Nice, reminiscent of Dream Theater, but without LaScree being a tit over the top! NF
Not reminiscent of Dream Theater. This music is simple, uncreative, and extremely corporate. Metal State of Mind, I usually at least like the music you put up but for real this is pretty. Put more Sigh up instead.
Here at Metal State we try to encompass the whole realm of metal and hard rock. Personally I dig this track. I do hear a bit of Awake era DT in the tune, especially in the beginning.
Not all music needs to be complex to be enjoyable, it’s all about the heart that the artist puts into it, or in other cases, if the tune or band is just straight up fun. This particular track is about the death of one of Evile’s bandmates.
For the most part this tune isn’t really representative of Evile’s main style which is more modern thrash in the vein of Trivium.
I believe I have put up plenty of Sigh, off the top of my head, at least 4 posts about them.
