Didn’t even have to think about that one, Matt – it’s Ozzy all the way. Dio was a great singer for sure but the run of classic albums from Paranoid to Sabotage basically define Sabbath for me. They put out some good songs over the years but were never that consistent again album-wise. When Dio quit (the first time) it really ought to have been the Iommi band. Wasn’t much moved by Gillan, Gillen or Martin, either – most of what I heard in recent years has been pretty execrable, H&H included, so there’s some trepidation for me over what this new studio recording will have to offer. I’m not expecting much, to be honest but let’s see, eh?!
