Song of the Week – Not Strong Enough
I think one of the coolest experiences of going to Sonishphere U.K., 2010 was seeing Apocalytpica. Up to that point, I didnt know much about them, but when they came out and opened with their string (and drum) version of Metallica’s Master of Puppets, I was hooked. Their set was cool and overall, I like their approach to (cello) metal. Over the last week or so, I have been revisiting some of their CD’s especially the one featuring today’s Song of the Week, Not Strong Enough, which features Brent Smith of Shinedown. I think he has a strong voice and fits well with Apocalyptica. What do you think of it? Do you like Brent Smith with this song, but not with his own band?

The video doesn’t work in my country, it says.
This one does though.
That’s funny, the one you posted says it doesn’t work in my country. Strange how that comes up every now and then. At least we both got to find a version we could enjoy
His voice does work really well with the music, alot better than with his own band actually.
I can’t think of a single bad Apocalyptica song, I adore them! Their live performances are really something special, and the fact that they invite guests to sing and play is just awesome.
“I’m not Jesus” with the singer from Slipknot/Stone Sour, and “Helden” with the singer from Rammstein are perfect matches aswell.
(And then I have a soft spot for Matthias Sayer in the song “Hope vol 2″, but it might be because I find that song outstanding
)
