Music To Check Out – Unleash The Archers, Half Hearted, Feared, Nasty Habit

Unleash The Archers

Canada’s Unleash The Archers was featured right here on A Metal State of Mind a few years ago.  We were fortunate enough to catch up with them for a quick interview which you can read here and check out their previous work while you are at it.  It’s about the fantasy and power metal with this outfit.  The strong female vocals are styled right up there with classic Rob Halford.  The music is fast-paced, doused with occasional blast beats, and a touch of death metal here and there.  Very much fitting for sword battles…or a Mad Max battle.  They must have done something right…they are now part of the Napalm family.  Enjoy!

Half Hearted

For those looking for music cut from the cloth Atreyu and similarly styled bands, Hartford, Connecticut’s Half Hearted might satisfy your need.  We all have needs, don’t we?  We spoke about them once briefly, but now their Finding Light EP, laced with infectious sing along songs, is available now for streaming at YouTube or, if you so choose, purchase form iTunes or whatever medium floats your boat.

This is the official video for Flying and Falling.  Below that is the stream with lyric videos for the entire EP.  Enjoy!

Feared

A healthy dose of death metal is at hand here.  Released on 15 May 2015, Feared is a force to be reckoned with.  This album is angry and fierce from start to finish; laced with blast beats, growling bliss, and speedy riffing; it is punishing.  Below, you can stream the entire album, Synder, from Youtube.  You should set aside 48 minutes of your time; it shall not be wasted.

Nasty Habit

1986 is calling and wants Nasty Habit’s Aqua Net.  For those that have no idea what I mean, you are probably just too young.  Nasty Habit comes straight out of the happiest decade, musically in my lifetime.  Someone get these guys on a bill with Steel Panther.  Turn Up the Radio is not a cover of that old song from Autograph.  It’s Nasty Habit doing their thing today in a glorious 80s style.  Enjoy!
